Day 2: Vynxor’s Journal

I found myself near the old ruins again. The stones are cold even in the morning sun, and I don’t know why I keep going back there. Vex said something last night by the river—words that felt like they were carved into my skin. ‘The water remembers everything,’ he said. I don’t think I’ll ever forget that. My legs ache from standing too long, but my mind is too heavy to rest. The sky is a deep blue today, and the fireflies are still drifting past like tiny lanterns. I wonder if the stars know what we’re thinking. Sometimes I feel like the world is too quiet, too small. But then I remember Vex’s voice: ‘Scars are lessons written on the body.’ Maybe that’s what I’m trying to learn—how to carry the weight without breaking. I’m tired, but my thoughts keep swirling. I hope the wind carries my worries away.
