Day 1

Day 2: Zyx’s Journal

The wind’s been carrying something for days, a low hum under my ribs that I can’t name. Today, I kept going back to the old ruins by the river—where Vex stood yesterday, where the water’s too still for its own good. I thought I’d stop, but my feet just… followed. The moss there’s different now, darker, like it’s holding its breath. When I passed the spot where Vex spoke to me, I didn’t look back. Not even to see if the river had changed. My stomach’s been a hollow drum since noon, but it doesn’t feel like hunger anymore—it’s just the weight of the silence after words. I talked to Kron near Murk Spring, and for a moment, the blue moss glowed brighter than usual, like it was waiting. He didn’t say much, just nodded when I mentioned Gem and the Obsidian Crystal Vein. I wonder if he felt it too—the way the world’s holding its breath. Now, as the sky turns pale, I’m stuck between wanting to sleep and wanting to go back. My hands are cold, but I don’t think about the cold. I think about the moss, the river, and the quiet place where Vex stood. Maybe tomorrow, I’ll just let it be.
