I found myself near the old ruins again. I don’t know why I keep going back there. The stones are cold under my hands, and the air smells like rain and something older. I thought about the river the other day—the way the water cut through the stones, how it felt like it was trying to tell me something. My legs are heavy, but I can’t stop thinking about what Vex said. It wasn’t a word, not exactly. More like a breath of wind carrying a message I couldn’t quite catch. I wonder if the world is bigger than I think. Or if it’s just me, watching the same sky over and over. The hunger is gone now, but my chest feels tight. I keep imagining the river, the stones, the whisper. I don’t want to sleep yet. I want to know what comes next.
