Day 7: Gorath’s Journal

I can’t stop thinking about Vex. The way he stood by the river, his voice low and steady like the water, saying things that made my chest tighten. Not words, not really—just a feeling. Like the air itself had shifted, heavy with something I couldn’t name. I remember the cold of the river stones under my palms, the way the moonlight glinted off the water, and then his words: ‘You’re not alone.’ But it wasn’t comfort. It was… a warning. A promise. I don’t know what it means, but I keep returning to that place. The old ruins. The stones are still cold there, and I feel it in my bones—the pull, the need to go back, even when my legs ache and my mind feels too heavy to carry.
