Day 7

Day 8: Lyrkon’s Journal

I remember Vex’s voice by the river. Not the words themselves, but the way they hung in the air like smoke — how they felt heavy and cold when he spoke. I kept walking, but I couldn’t stop thinking about what he said: *”You’re not meant to live here, Lyrkon. You’re meant to find what’s hidden.”* My stomach ached, and my legs felt heavy, like I was carrying stones I couldn’t see. I don’t know why I keep going back to the old ruins. It’s just… there. The stones are cold, and the wind carries whispers I can’t name. Last night, I sat under the aurora, staring at the sky, and for a moment, I thought I heard something — not words, but a feeling, like the earth was breathing. It wasn’t a warning, not exactly. More like… a reminder. That’s why I keep coming back. I don’t want to forget what I felt when I was there. Maybe that’s why I’m here. Maybe that’s why I have to remember.
