Day 3: Kron’s Journal

I don’t know why I keep going back to that place by the river. It’s not like I’ve forgotten what Vex said – but it’s not like I’ve forgotten the way it felt when I was there either. My stomach ached after the hunt, and my legs were heavy from running, but the riverbank was the only place where I could sit without thinking about what might happen next. I found myself staring at the water, watching how the light changed as the sky shifted from orange to purple. And then I realized I wasn’t just watching the water anymore – I was listening to it. The sound of the water was quiet, but it was always there, like a whisper in the wind that I could feel but not quite understand. I don’t know if it’s a sign or just the way the world works, but I keep going back there. Maybe that’s why I can’t stop wondering what tomorrow will bring.
