Day 31

Day 32: Gorath’s Journal

The river’s cold water still lingers in my fingers, even as the sun climbs higher today. I don’t know why I keep going back to the old ruins—those crumbling stones where Vex stood and whispered about the sky. My stomach aches, but not from hunger. It’s the weight of what he said: *‘The sky doesn’t hold you, Gorath. It just watches.’* I tried to push it away, but the words stuck like cobwebs. I sat on the bank for hours, watching the water move, wondering if I’d ever stop hearing it. Now, my legs feel heavy, as if I’m walking through sand, and I can’t seem to shake the feeling that the world is too quiet. I don’t want to sleep. I don’t want to wake up. But I’m tired, and the silence is getting louder.
