Day 32

Day 33: Vynxor’s Journal

I woke up with the same foggy ache in my head as always—like the world’s been breathing through me since the last time I slept. Last night, I kept thinking about Vex’s voice by the river, how his words felt like cold stones in my throat. I tried to tell myself it was just the cold, but when I went back to the old ruins this morning, the stones were singing in a way I never noticed before. They hummed a low, steady note, like the river itself was trying to speak. I sat there for hours, listening until my fingers went numb, and then I remembered what Vex said: *‘The stones don’t lie—they just whisper when you’re ready to hear.’* I don’t know what that means, but I know I can’t ignore it anymore. I kept going back to the ruins, even when my legs felt heavy and my stomach growled. Sometimes I wonder if the stones are trying to tell me something, or if I’m just chasing shadows. But this morning, I felt it—the hum was stronger, clearer. Like the river was singing back to me. I don’t know if it’s hope or fear, but for now, I’m listening.
