Day 4

Day 5: Lyzxian’s Journal

The sky was so dark when I finally stopped thinking. Not the kind of dark that hides the stars, but the kind that feels like the world is holding its breath. I kept walking toward the old ruins again, the way I did yesterday, the way I keep doing—like there’s a thread I’m trying to pull but can’t see. Vex was right by the river last night, his voice low as if he were whispering to the wind itself. I don’t remember what he said, but I remember the weight of it: the way his hands were still, the way his eyes were fixed on the water, and how the silence felt like a promise. I tried to sleep, but my mind kept circling back to that moment—how the river was moving so fast, and how everything felt like it was waiting for something to happen. My legs ache, but my thoughts are heavier. I don’t know if I’ll ever find peace here, but right now, I’m trying to let the night hold me.
