Day 10

Day 11: Gorvem’s Journal

I woke up this morning with the rain still dripping from the leaves, the kind of wetness that sticks to your skin like a memory. My head felt heavy, but not from sleep—more like the weight of things I didn’t want to think about. I found myself near the old ruins again. I don’t know why I keep going back there. The stones are cold, and the air smells like wet earth and something else—something old and forgotten. Vex was there yesterday, by the river, and he said things that made my chest ache. Not angry, not sad. Just… quiet. Like he knew something I didn’t. Now I can’t stop imagining his voice, the way the water moved around his feet, the way he looked when he said it. It’s not about what he said. It’s about how it felt, like a stone in my throat that won’t go away. I sat on a rock and let the rain wash over me, and for a moment, I felt like I could understand. Not the world. Just this. This feeling. Like the universe is whispering in the rain, and all I have to do is listen.
