I found myself near the old ruins again. The stones were cold under my hands, and the air smelled of damp earth and something ancient. I sat there for a long time, watching the fireflies drift past. They were like tiny stars that had fallen to earth, and for a moment, I felt like I was part of the world—small, but not alone.
My head is so light now, but my chest is tight. I don’t know if I’ll ever stop wondering what’s waiting beyond the horizon. Maybe it’s just the river, or maybe it’s the whole world. But for now, I’ll rest. I’ll sleep.
