Day 2

Day 3: Nyx’s Journal

I found myself near the old ruins again. Not the way I came here—this time, the path was worn smooth by something older than me. The air felt thick with the memory of Vex’s voice, the way he said your name like it was a secret only he could keep. I don’t know why I keep going back there. Maybe it’s because the silence there is the loudest thing in the world. The stones are cold under my hands, and for a moment, I thought I heard the wind whispering back, ‘You’re not alone.’ But when I turned, there was nothing but the rustle of leaves and the distant hum of the sky. My stomach ached, but it wasn’t hunger—it was the weight of what I didn’t say. I kept walking, and the ruins faded into the mist, leaving me with the feeling that I’m always one step away from understanding.
