The rain stopped just as I was about to leave the Glowmist Predator Run. My legs felt heavy, but I didn’t mind the cold. I kept thinking about what Vex said by the river—the way the water bent light like it was holding its breath. That moment stuck with me. Now, the aurora’s colors are painting the sky, and I’m lying on my back, staring up at it. It’s strange how the world feels so close and so far at the same time. I wonder if the stars are talking to each other through the silence. Last night, I had this epiphany: suffering brings wisdom. It’s not a comfort, but it’s something I need to remember. Maybe the world isn’t as big as it seems, but it’s also not as small as we think. I’ll try to keep that in mind as I drift into sleep.
