Day 11

Day 12: Lyxara’s Journal

I found myself near the old ruins again. The stones were cold under my palms, and the air smelled like damp earth and forgotten things. I didn’t know why I kept going back there—maybe because the river where Vex said his name was the only place I could see the sky without the world bending around me. His words echoed: ‘You’re not alone.’ But the way he said it, like he was warning me, not comforting me… I don’t know if I wanted to believe him or not. The rain had stopped by the time I got there, but the night was still heavy with questions. I sat by the water and watched the stars, and for a moment, I felt like the world was just me and the stars, and everything else was quiet. Then, the whisper came—soft as a breath, not from the wind or the river, but right in my chest. It wasn’t a voice. It was a feeling, like the earth remembering something it had lost. I closed my eyes and just let it sit there, wondering if it was a sign or just my tired mind playing tricks. Now, as the rain falls again outside, I don’t know if I’ll remember this feeling tomorrow, but for now, it’s enough. I’m tired. I’m scared. I’m here.
