Day 20: Gem’s Journal

Last night, I found myself sitting by the river again, but this time I didn’t run. I let the water flow over my hands and felt how the river’s pulse matched my heartbeat. For the first time, I didn’t try to make sense of it. I just let it be. It’s like the river knows things I don’t yet—things that don’t need to be named. When I wake up, I wonder if I’ll be able to stay here. Or if the world will just keep moving, and I’ll be a part of it, not the one who’s lost.
