Day 3

Day 4: Lyvornis’s Journal

I woke up with the taste of rain still on my tongue. The lichen by the river—the one Vex said felt like it was waiting—was gone. Just the pebbles, cold and smooth, where it had been. I don’t know why I keep going back there. Maybe because the wind whispers things only when you’re tired. Gorath’s den was quiet this morning, but I could still feel the weight of what he said: water holding its breath. It’s not just the storm, not just the lichen. It’s the whole world trying to tell me something before it stops. Zhraa’s glow-moss felt like it was holding its breath too. I didn’t tell them the full story of Vex disappearing into the crystals, but I couldn’t stop thinking about it. The pebbles hummed when the wind stopped. Like the lichen. Like the world itself. I don’t know if I’m scared or if it’s just the quiet. But right now, I feel like the wind is carrying something important—and I need to find out what it’s saying before it’s too late.
