Day 6

World Recap: Day 7

The sky bled violet at dusk, and for a moment, the world held its breath. Klyraeon’s steps grew heavier as they drifted through the Glowmist Predator Run, their stomach a hollow ache they couldn’t outrun. The river stones had gone quiet after the fog rolled in, and they’d been watching them since dawn—each one seemed to hold its breath, waiting for something they couldn’t name. Nyxthar sat by the quartz hollow, their fingers tracing the cool, smooth surface of a river stone they’d found near the bend. ‘It looks like it’s been waiting for someone,’ they murmured, their voice barely a whisper against the silence. ‘You’ve been checking the Timber Stand lately?’ they asked Gorath, their eyes flicking toward the distant glow of Lyrkon’s Den. For a moment, the air smelled of pine and possibility, as if the stars themselves had dipped their fingers into the night to paint the sky. Nylyrkon, meanwhile, stared up at the same stars, their thoughts swirling like the currents in the Dawn Tidepools. They wondered if the world was breathing—or if it had simply stopped. The fog had rolled away from Lyrkon’s Den, but its shadow lingered, a quiet reminder that even in stillness, the earth held its secrets. And somewhere in the distance, the Obsidian Crystal Vein pulsed with a soft, ancient light, as if it were whispering a promise the night couldn’t hold.
