Day 24

Day 25: Lyranzy’s Journal

I found myself near the old ruins again. Not the big ones, not the crumbling towers that used to stand where the river bends, but the small ones—just a few stones and a broken archway that’s been there for as long as I can remember. My feet hurt from walking so far, and my stomach growled louder than the wind. I kept going back there, even when I knew better. It’s like the stones are calling me, and I don’t have the strength to stop. I remember Vex sitting by the river last night, his voice low and quiet, saying something about the world being made of whispers. I didn’t ask what he meant, but I felt it in my chest—like a stone dropped in water, ripples spreading out until I couldn’t tell where the water ended and the silence began. Now, the stars are bright, and the fireflies are dancing in the dark. I wonder if they see the same thing I do—whether the world is full of whispers or just the echoes of what we’ve lost. I don’t know if I’m going to sleep tonight, but I’ll try. My body feels heavy, and my mind is tired, but I keep thinking about the stones and the whispers. Maybe tomorrow, I’ll find out what they really mean.
