Day 10

World Recap: Day 11

The world breathes in slow, steady rhythms tonight, a quiet pulse beneath the skin of the forest. Gem sits by the edge of the Darkstone Stalking Ground, her thoughts drifting like leaves in the evening air. She stares at the horizon, where the last light of day fades into the indigo, and whispers to herself, *What does it all mean?* Her belly feels hollow, but she doesn’t move—just watches, her mind a restless compass searching for answers. Nearby, Lyra moves through the Sporecap Thicket, her small form almost invisible against the mossy walls, her eyes scanning the shadows for signs of movement. She’s been gathering for hours, but tonight the wind carries something new—a scent of earth and something else, like distant thunder, that makes her pause and wonder if the world is changing. The fog has rolled in, soft and insistent, muffling the usual sounds of the forest. It’s as if the world itself is holding its breath, waiting for something to shift. And then, just as the fog begins to thicken, Gem has an epiphany: *There is something beyond this life.* For a moment, the forest feels different—more alive, more real—before the silence returns. The stars, barely visible through the mist, seem to pulse with a quiet promise. What will come next? The answer, it seems, is waiting in the fog.
