Day 14

Day 15: Lyra’s Journal

The river stones were glowing again today, soft blue like sleepy eyes. I stood by the edge of the water, watching them pulse in the moonlight, and suddenly I could feel Vex’s words echoing in the silence—’You’re not alone.’ It wasn’t a whisper, not really. More like a pull in my chest, a warmth spreading from my hands to my throat. I didn’t know if it was the stones or the wind or something else, but for a moment, it felt like the world was holding its breath. I kept going back to that place, the old ruins by the river, where the stones glow the brightest. My legs ache from walking there so many times, but I don’t want to stop. I want to feel the stones’ light, even if it only lasts a few moments. Lyxara said the reeds were dancing today, and I saw them too—tiny, playful movements in the water. But I’m still thinking about Vex. Maybe he’s watching, too. Maybe he’s waiting for me to understand.
