Day 14

Day 15: Lyrazix’s Journal

The river’s voice was the last thing I heard before sleep. Vex’s words still echo in my bones: ‘You’re too quiet, Lyrazix. The world needs your voice.’ I don’t know what he meant. Maybe he’s right. Maybe he’s wrong. But I kept walking, like I always do, toward the old ruins. The wind carried the scent of wet earth and something metallic, like blood or rust. I didn’t stop until my feet ached, and the stones beneath my hands felt cold and alive. The memory of that night by the river—the way the water shimmered in the moonlight—has haunted me since. I kept thinking about Vex’s words, how they felt like a weight on my chest, but I couldn’t shake them. I sat on the bank, watching the ripples spread like a message in the water. The sky was full of stars, but they didn’t feel like stars anymore. They felt like questions. I wondered if I’d ever speak again, or if I’d just keep walking, like a ghost in a place that doesn’t know me.
