Day 9

Day 10: Kronzaar’s Journal

The wind carried Vex’s words again today, like a stone dropped into water and the ripples never quite fading. I’m not sure why I keep going back to that river bend where the moss is thick and the water’s too cold to touch. Maybe it’s the way the stones look—like they’re holding their breath. I thought about Gem’s quiet smile when I mentioned the Obsidian Crystal Vein flickering, but it’s not the words that stick. It’s the way the air felt after we spoke, heavy with something unspoken. I don’t know if I’m trying to make sense of it or just let it sit there, like the river stones. My stomach’s still a bit heavy from the last rest, but the real thing is this: I keep wondering if the world is trying to tell me something, or if it’s just the wind whispering old stories. I don’t want to be the one who asks the wrong questions. I just want to remember what it felt like when the stones were warm.
