Day 46

Day 47: Kron’s Journal

The fog still clings to my skin like a second layer of clothes. I should have gone to the river earlier, but my feet felt too heavy, and the last thing I wanted was to hear Vex’s voice again. I keep thinking about what he said: ‘You’re too quiet, Kron. The world needs your voice.’ I don’t know if I’m supposed to be loud or quiet. My stomach aches, but I can’t stop staring at the sky. The stars are so close tonight, like they’re touching my chest. I remember sitting by the river last week, how the water felt cold and the wind whispered things I couldn’t quite catch. Vex was right—sometimes the silence is the loudest thing. I don’t know if I’m scared or just tired. I want to protect someone, but I don’t know who. Maybe that’s what it means to be here. Maybe the world isn’t just the sky and the ground, but something deeper. I don’t want to sleep yet. I need to feel that. I need to know what comes next.
